Bratash: Admiral lacked finishing touch vs Neftekhimik
Admiral's head coach said his team missed open-net chances and failed to capitalize on opportunities their goalkeeper created in the 1:2 loss.
Oleg Bratash, head coach of Admiral, said his side ran out of ideas in the final third after a 1:2 defeat to Neftekhimik.
Admiral created enough to have taken something from the game. Bratash pointed to moments when the Neftekhimik goalkeeper was already beaten and out of position, shots into an empty cage.
Bratash also credited his own goalkeeper with keeping Admiral in contention against a faster opponent, saying the side had chances but couldn't convert them.
Asked what Admiral tried to set against Neftekhimik's pace, Bratash said his players worked to keep up and looked to create in the opposition zone, which came off at times. He put the lapses in his own end down to a lack of legs and freshness when the pace told late on.
