The 22-year-old forward's current deal, worth 886,000 dollars against the cap, was due to expire at the end of 2026/27. The new terms replace it well ahead of that deadline.
Östlund played 60 regular-season fixtures in 2025/26, finishing with 27 points on 11 goals and 16 assists. In three playoff games he added two more, 1+1.
