Ivan Vydrenkov on His Changing Relationship with Money
The Traktor defender, traded from SKA in July, says impulsive spending has given way to saving for property after early splurges on brands and phones.
"When I left Stupino and the first proper money came in, I wanted to close old gestalts. I bought some branded things, a phone... But I burned out quickly," Vydrenkov said.
"Impulsive purchases have given way to bigger goals, such as my own property. Of course you want everything at once, but everything has its time," he added.
Vydrenkov was traded to Tractor from SKA St. Petersburg in July. He has played four games in the KHL regular season this term, with one assist. The club opened the campaign with a 5-1 defeat to reigning champions Lokomotiv and have since re-signed forward Nikita Soshnikov and gone a game without head coach Scott Gordon, who stayed under medical observation in Yekaterinburg.
