KHL Rescinds Diving Penalties on Kuznetsov and Iskhakov
The KHL's disciplinary committee overturned simulation penalties against Sibir's Kuznetsov and Metallurg's Iskhakov, ruling both were actually fouled.
The KHL's Sports and Disciplinary Committee has rescinded diving penalties handed to Sibir forward Evgeni Kuznetsov and Metallurg forward Ruslan Iskhakov, ruling that the opponents had in fact fouled them in both incidents.
Kuznetsov was penalised in the 10th minute of Sibir's match against Avtomobilist, Iskhakov in the 44th minute of Avangard's game against Metallurg. Both were sanctioned under clause 1.40 of Article 29 of the KHL Disciplinary Regulations, which covers simulation.
The league said on its website.
Both penalties stand annulled retroactively; the results of the two matches are unaffected.
