Philadelphia GM Daniel Briere confirmed preliminary discussions with Matvei Michkov's camp on a new deal as the 21-year-old enters the final year of his entry-level contract.
Philadelphia general manager Daniel Briere has confirmed the club has held "certain talks" with representatives of Matvei Michkov over a new contract, but said "there is not much to say at the moment".
Michkov, 21, is entering the final year of his entry-level deal, which carries a cap hit of 950,000 dollars. Last season he put up 51 points (20+31) with a plus-minus of 0 in 81 regular-season games for the Flyers.
