Zhurova Wishes Ovechkin Health on His 41st Birthday
State Duma deputy Svetlana Zhurova congratulated Alexander Ovechkin on turning 41 and said he could hypothetically still play for Russia's national team.
Alexander Ovechkin turned 41 on 17 September. Svetlana Zhurova, a State Duma deputy and Olympic speed-skating champion, wished the Washington Capitals captain good health and addressed the question of whether he could still play for the Russian national team.
Asked what she would wish Ovechkin, she said: "Health. He is still continuing his career and, as I understand it, is not planning to leave just yet. So, health, of course."
Ovechkin signed a new one-year contract with Washington on 2 July.
