Zibanejad Praises Dorofeyev After First Rangers Practices

Mika Zibanejad has given his first assessment of Pavel Dorofeyev after facing him in training with the New York Rangers.

"A deadly sniper. I think he's strong on the puck. It's noticeable. It's hard to get a full picture of a player after a 40-minute two-way match, but you can see that he's strong on the puck and knows how to pick spots for a shot. Even given who he's playing with, how he finds his partners and how he finishes plays, he's going to help us score more, which will be a huge plus," said Zibanejad.

Dorofeyev, 25, joined the Rangers from Vegas in a trade and signed a seven-year, $77 million contract. Last season he put up 64 points (37 goals, 27 assists) in 82 regular-season games and added 16 points (12 goals, 4 assists) in 22 play-off games.
