Vancouver's 46-year-old head coach Manny Malhotra ran the endurance drills twice on day one of camp and beat some players, leaving Luke Schenn impressed.
As the Vancouver Canucks prepare for the 2026-27 season, head coach Manny Malhotra, 46, set a demanding tone on the first day of training camp, outrunning some of his own players in endurance drills.
Malhotra and his assistants ran the exercise twice, once after each group of players had finished its session. Defenceman Luke Schenn, 36, was among those left behind.
Malhotra, who played for the club during his career, took charge of Vancouver ahead of the 2026-27 season.
