Olimpbet Extends VKhL Partnership Through 2028
The bookmaker has renewed its deal as title partner of Russia's VKhL hockey championship for two more years, signed at Moscow's Olimp Arena.
The two sides first signed in 2023. The new agreement was signed at the Olimp Arena in Moscow, with Olimpbet's development director Konstantin Gusev putting his name to it alongside VKhL representatives FHR first vice-president Roman Rotenberg and league managing director Alexander Kiknadze.
"Three years of our partnership with the All-Russian Hockey League have flown by incredibly quickly. A great deal has changed in that time: the championship itself has grown, and we have moved up to a new level too. In 2023, Olimpbet was only starting its rise as the country's leading hockey bookmaker, and three years on we are signing the new agreement at our own hockey arena. That feels highly symbolic to us. Together with the VKhL and our other partners we have come a long way and have become so integrated into the world of hockey that the 80th anniversary of Russian hockey has become a significant date for us too. It is especially pleasing to realise that Olimpbet, even if only in a small way, has already become part of the country's hockey history. The VKhL itself has grown noticeably over these years – in scale, in standard and in the attention it gets from fans. It is a league unique in this country for the scope of its geography, which keeps professional hockey alive in dozens of Russian regions. So it was entirely natural for us to continue the partnership for another two years," said Olimpbet development director Konstantin Gusev.
The VKhL will field 30 clubs in the 2026/27 season.
