Senators Owner Andlauer Addresses Tkachuk's Departure
Michael Andlauer said family ties drove Brady Tkachuk's move to Florida, praising him as a model captain who was loved by Ottawa's fans.
Brady Tkachuk has agreed to a new contract with the Florida Panthers, a move that secures the forward’s future in South Florida while ending his tenure with the Ottawa Senators.
Tkachuk, 27, spent eight seasons with the Senators and captained the club from 2021. He was traded to Florida in the summer at his own request, joining his brother Matthew at the Panthers.
Andlauer also reflected on Tkachuk's time as captain in Ottawa.
