Sergei Bobrovsky Gains Influence in Maple Leafs Room
Insider Elliotte Friedman says goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky has quickly become one of the most respected voices in Toronto's dressing room since joining in July.
"I've heard that Bobrovsky has become one of the most influential players at the Maple Leafs. In the dressing room, people listen to him. He doesn't talk much, but when he does, everyone listens," Friedman said.
Bobrovsky, 38, joined the Leafs on 1 July on a three-year deal with a $7m cap hit. The goaltender has won the Stanley Cup twice and taken the Vezina Trophy twice as well.
