Vancouver have assigned forward Ilya Safonov and defender Kirill Kudryavtsev to Abbotsford of the AHL as the club trims its roster by 15.
The Canucks now have 31 players left in camp.
Safonov signed a one-year two-way contract with Vancouver in June. Last season he scored 33 points (16+17) in 68 regular-season games for Ak Bars in the KHL, and added 9 points (2+7) in 20 play-off games.
