Lada's Nikita Setdikov says Putin inspires him
Lada forward recalls meeting the Russian president in Sochi at the world junior championship, where they watched the film Legend No. 17 together.
Lada forward Nikita Setdikov, who broke into the KHL with Salavat Yulaev in 2014 before moving to CSKA, has described meeting Russian president Vladimir Putin at the world junior championship in Sochi, telling Sila Sporta that Putin "inspires" him.
"Vladimir Vladimirovich, he is the one who inspires. A proper man. A real character. You look at him and you feel that inner strength of his. He’s got backbone. And confidence," Setdikov said. They met in Sochi, watching Legend No. 17. "All the legends of the past, the Red Machine, gathered for the screening, and he came too. A real one. One of our own. Solid," the forward said.
Sochi's Canadian player Cameron Lee spoke about Putin on Tuesday. Lee said that of all the famous Russians, the president is the one he would most like to talk to.
