SKA Extends Winning Streak to Four in KHL
SKA Saint Petersburg beat Barys Astana 5:3, with Plotnikov and Glotov scoring twice each, climbing to second in the Western Conference.
Zakhar Bardakov opened the scoring in the 1st minute. Sergei Plotnikov added two, in the 7th and 16th minutes, and Vasily Glotov struck twice more either side of the break, in the 31st and 32nd minutes.
Barys replied through Vsevolod Logvin, who scored in the 22nd and 34th minutes, and Semyon Simonov, who pulled one back in the 52nd.
The result takes SKA to 14 points from eight matches, second in the Western Conference table.
Metallurg Magnitogorsk are also on a run of four straight wins after beating Ak Bars Kazan 2:1 the previous day. That result put Metallurg top of the Eastern Conference on 15 points from nine matches.
