Tarasenko could return to Florida, insider Dave Pagnotta says
Free agent forward Vladimir Tarasenko, 34, may rejoin Florida as Marchand is set to miss time, and the club's salary-cap situation suits a signing.
Vladimir Tarasenko could return to Florida, according to the insider Dave Pagnotta. The 34-year-old forward is an unrestricted free agent.
Pagnotta was asked whether any free agent would sign before the season starts, with Tarasenko named as an example. "I think a couple of players could do it," he said. "I think Florida has become an option for Tarasenko again. Because Marchand will miss some time. From a salary-cap point of view, it's a suitable option."
Tarasenko played 75 regular-season games for Minnesota last season and scored 47 points (23+24). He added 5 points (2+3) in 11 playoff games. He has played for Florida before, in 2023/24.
