Skuter Breeki of Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod says he feels completely safe in Russia and enjoys his time in the country.
“This is a fantastic place. I love Russia, the food is excellent here, and the guys are even better. They show me all the interesting places, and I’m really enjoying my stay,” Breeki said. He also praised Alexander Ovechkin as one of the best players of his generation.
Breeki, 27, joined Torpedo after spending the 2023–24 season with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins. He played 55 regular-season games for the American team.
Pittsburgh, founded in 1967, is currently second in the NHL standings with two points after two matches. Their home arena, PPG Paints Arena, holds 18,872 spectators.
