Dynamo Moscow beats Minsk 4-3 in overtime after late equaliser

Moscow Dynamo secured a 4:3 victory over Minsk in overtime after equalising on the 59th minute.

Head coach Leonid Tambiev said the team played until the final whistle and refused to give up. He noted that the squad equalised the score and then pushed through in the extra period.

«It is an important win psychologically. The boys did well and staged a significant comeback. We played until the end, believed in ourselves, tied it up, scored a hard-earned goal and held on in overtime. It is a vital victory for the team's mental state, I hope it gives them confidence. Thank you to the fans. We have plenty of work ahead. Yes, there are mistakes, but the players are trying. If the team lacked character, we would not pull off matches like this. I am happy to work with these guys. I have not had many games where the side drags such a result out of the fire. We are currently building the team. Thank you for not dropping your hands.»

The win keeps Moscow in contention for the playoffs. The team has now played four matches and sits second in the Western Conference table, two points behind the leaders.
