Dmitry Guberniev, the Match TV commentator, has taken aim at Metallurg head coach Andrei Razin over his conduct at press conferences.
The remarks followed Razin's comments after Metallurg's match with Barys, when he addressed a question about forward Vladimir Tkachev by saying: "What am I supposed to do for him, give him a plate with a blue rim and, well, blow smoke up his backside so he plays?" The club's management subsequently applied disciplinary measures against Razin.
Guberniev responded on air.
"I am very fond of Andrei Razin as a soloist of the group Laskovy May. I keep waiting for him to start swinging his hips vigorously at press conferences and singing the song 'Old Forest'," Guberniev said.
