Sibir head coach Yaroslav Lyuzenkov has confirmed the trade of forward Aleksei Yakovlev to Torpedo, with Sibir receiving forward Aleksandr Yaremchuk in return.
Yakovlev had spent almost 13 seasons at the Novosibirsk club. Lyuzenkov declined to go into detail on why the move was made, calling it an internal matter.
Sibir also face a gap on the blue line after defenceman Maksim Osipov was ruled out, with surgery scheduled for the following day. Lyuzenkov said the club is in talks for reinforcements at both defence and forward, though no deal has been closed.
