About the player
Ángel Alarcón Galiot came up through La Masia, spending three seasons with Barcelona Atlètic before earning a senior debut for FC Barcelona in the Copa del Rey against Ceuta in January 2023, coming off the bench in a 5–0 win. He never featured in La Liga for the first team and was left out of the squad that won the title that season, though he trained with the group during the semi-finals against Real Madrid.
In August 2024 he left Barcelona on a free transfer for FC Porto. His start in Portugal was disrupted by a meniscus injury in his left knee that required surgery in January 2025. He finally made his first-team debut for Porto in September 2025 in a league win over Rio Ave, and went on to score in the Europa League against Malmö during a season in which Porto won the Primeira Liga.
His time in Porto's first team was brief. In January 2026 he moved to FC Utrecht on loan, and the Dutch club exercised the option to sign him permanently for €2 million that May on a deal running to 2029.
At youth level, Alarcón was a regular scorer for Spain, contributing goals across the under-15, under-16 and under-19 age groups, though he has yet to be capped by the senior side.
