Alejandro Jesús Bran Flores

A move to MLS followed in January 2024, when Minnesota United signed him initially on loan from Herediano before exercising a purchase option that September. His time in Minnesota also included a loan to Burton Albion in England's League One. The turning point of his career came in January 2025, when he joined LD Alajuelense on loan and won the 2025 Apertura, the 2024–25 Costa Rican Cup and the 2025 CONCACAF Central American Cup, and reached the final of the 2026 Supercopa de Costa Rica. That loan was made permanent in September 2025.

His departure from Alajuelense to Petrolul Ploiești, on a free transfer in June 2026, followed disciplinary issues, including his exclusion from the national team after a violent incident involving gunfire at his car in Costa Rica.

At international level, Bran has become a regular for Costa Rica, with 23 caps and four goals for the senior side as of early 2026. He scored his first senior goal against El Salvador in February 2024 and has since found the net against Panama in the CONCACAF Nations League, against the Bahamas in World Cup qualifying, and twice against Belize in Gold Cup qualification, helping the team reach the quarter-finals of the 2025 Gold Cup. He also featured twice at the 2024 Copa América. Earlier, he won a silver medal with Costa Rica's Olympic team at the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games, scoring three goals.
