About the player
The season that made Andreas Katsantonis was 2023–24, when he finished as top scorer of the Cypriot First Division with 19 goals for Karmiotissa. The following September, Piast Gliwice signed him on a fee of around €180,000 and handed him a three-year deal with an option for a further twelve months.
Katsantonis started at Olympiakos Nicosia before moving to Omonia Nicosia, where he made his senior debut in the 2016–17 season with nine appearances. A switch to APOEL Nicosia followed in 2018, and the club won the Cypriot First Division in 2018–19, though Katsantonis featured only in the cup that campaign rather than in the league. He returned to APOEL in 2020.
Leaving APOEL on a free transfer, he joined Dalkurd FF in Sweden in February 2022. Spells followed at Panserraikos in Greece and back home at Karmiotissa.
Katsantonis worked his way up through Cyprus's youth national teams, representing the under-17, under-19 and under-21 sides before earning his first senior cap in 2024.
