About the player
Ante Bekavac came up through Hajduk Split's academy, having joined the club in August 2016 after starting out at Adriatik. He made his debut for Hajduk II in August 2020, and that October he was given a single appearance for the first team in the Croatian Cup — a run that ended with the club lifting the trophy that season.
A first-team breakthrough at Hajduk never followed. Instead, Bekavac's path went through loan spells, first back at Hajduk II and then at Dugopolje, before a move to Croatia Zmijavci. In July 2023 he left Croatia altogether, signing for the Bosnian side HŠK Posušje on a free transfer. He spent two seasons there, making 35 appearances and scoring four goals — his most settled and productive stretch to date.
At youth international level, Bekavac was capped once by Croatia's under-19 side in 2019.
