About the player
He later added the Central American and Caribbean Games title in 2014, having already been named the Most Valuable Player and included in the Best XI of the CONCACAF U-20 Championship in 2013.
His move to Tigres UANL in 2014 brought his first major trophy at senior level, the Apertura 2015. Loan spells took him to FC Juárez and Veracruz before he left Mexico altogether in 2017 to join Portugal's Feirense on a free transfer. Two seasons on the Iberian Peninsula, in which he scored four goals in 49 league appearances, preceded a return home in 2019 to Guadalajara, known as Chivas, where he made 112 league appearances over five years.
Toluca brought him in at the turn of 2025 for a reported fee of around €900,000. With Toluca, Briseño has won the Clausura 2025, the Apertura 2025, the Campeón de Campeones, the Campeones Cup, the CONCACAF Champions Cup and the Leagues Cup.
