About the player
Artur Anisimov never had to go far to make his name. Born in Naberezhnye Chelny, he came up through the KAMAZ academy and started his senior career with the club, spending time with the reserve side KAMAZ-2 in the amateur leagues before working his way into the first team in the Second Division.
He was part of the side that won the PFL Ural-Povolzhye group in 2016/17 and later took bronze in the First League in 2020/21, a finish that lifted the club into the Russian Premier League. Fans voted him the club's best player for the 2017/18 season, and the league named him Player of the Month for September 2020. One night stands out on the sheet: a Russian Cup tie against Ufa in September 2017, when he saved a penalty and then converted his own with a panenka in the shootout to be named Man of the Match.
In July 2023 he went back to where he started, rejoining KAMAZ on a free transfer.
