About the player
Balaruban is a product of FC Luzern's academy, working his way up through the club's youth ranks, including the U17 and U21 sides. His senior debut for Luzern came in the 2019/20 season, and he made eight appearances for the club over the following two seasons.
A loan spell at SC Kriens saw Balaruban make 23 appearances there.
In June 2024, Balaruban signed for FC Thun on a free transfer, agreeing a three-year contract running to 2027. The move coincided with a successful campaign for the club: Thun won the Swiss Challenge League in the 2024–25 season, securing promotion to the Swiss Super League, with Balaruban part of the squad.
Balaruban has also represented Switzerland at youth international level, earning three caps for the U15 side without scoring. He has not featured for the senior national team.
