Charles Kwame Sagoe Junior

Fulham's academy shaped Charles Kwame Sagoe Junior first, before Arsenal took him on in 2015 and carried him through to a professional contract in 2023. His senior debut followed that September, starting in an EFL Cup tie against Brentford, a performance that drew praise from manager Mikel Arteta. Days later he was named in the squad for a Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven, though he did not get on the pitch. A season earlier, at youth level, he had already made his mark with a late winner for Arsenal's under-21s against Newport County in the EFL Trophy.

Loans followed: a brief spell at Swansea City to finish the 2023–24 season, then a full season at Shrewsbury Town from August 2024, where he made 18 appearances, 13 of them in the league. Arsenal recalled him in January 2025 after injuries hit the squad, Bukayo Saka among them. In February 2026 he moved to Sweden, joining Kalmar FF on a season-long loan, and by mid-2026 he had made 12 appearances there, scoring twice, once in the Allsvenskan and once in the Svenska Cupen.

Sagoe is eligible to represent England, Ghana or Liberia, and in October 2025 turned down a call-up from Liberia, saying his parents were not ready for him to travel. He has yet to win a senior trophy or earn an international cap at any level.
