About the player
Sivert Engh Øverby got his football education at Hønefoss BK. Sivert made his own senior debut there in August 2016, aged just 17, and went on to make 25 appearances before leaving in 2018.
A free transfer took him to Fana IL, where he spent three seasons in the Norwegian Third Division, playing 28 matches and scoring once — a spell interrupted by the cancellation of the 2020 season during the pandemic. In May 2021 he moved on again, joining Mjøndalen IF on a free. He made his Eliteserien debut that same month and quickly established himself as a regular starter, going on to pass 100 official appearances for the club, a milestone Mjøndalen themselves marked. Across 87 league games for the Buskerud side he scored three goals, featuring in both Eliteserien and OBOS-ligaen as the club fought to keep its place among Norway's top flight.
In 2025, Øverby left Mjøndalen on a free transfer to join Kalmar FF. He has settled quickly into the side, contributing two goals in 25 appearances so far.
