Christian Dahle Borchgrevink

Christian Dahle Borchgrevink joined Vålerenga's academy in 2008, at the age of nine, having started out at the local amateur club Lille Tøyen IL. He worked his way through the Norwegian club's youth system and spent four years with the reserve side, Vålerenga 2, before signing his first professional contract with the senior squad in March 2017. Two loan spells followed as he pushed for a regular place: a short stint at Hamarkameratene in the OBOS-ligaen in 2018, then a similar move to Notodden the following year.

His time at Vålerenga produced one of the sharper contrasts of his career. In the 2023 promotion play-off against Kristiansund he missed a penalty, only to score the winning spot-kick in the same tie. A year later, in the 2024 campaign, he went from that low point to scoring the decisive goal that sent Vålerenga back up to the Eliteserien.

In April 2025, Heart of Midlothian announced they had agreed a transfer for Borchgrevink, with the move taking effect on 1 July on a three-year contract. Hearts described the fee as undisclosed, though some reports put it at around €450,000.

Borchgrevink has represented Norway across the youth age groups, from under-15 to under-21 level, but has not yet featured for the senior national team.
