Christos Almiras

Christos Almiras was born in Thessaloniki and came through the academy at PAOK before moving on to Aris Thessaloniki's under-19 side. It was at Makedonikos Neapolis, in the country's second tier, that he settled into regular first-team football and picked up a Greek Cup winner's medal with the club.

Asteras Tripolis signed him in the summer of 2024, taking him on for a modest fee from Makedonikos. The move has paid off in playing time: across the 2025/2026 season Almiras made 18 appearances for the Asteras first team, scoring once and adding an assist.

His form for the club has been matched by recognition at international level, where he has been called into Greece's under-21 squad. He has featured in Euro U21 qualifying, including an appearance against Germany, and has logged well over two hours on the pitch at that level.

Almiras plays in midfield, and his disciplinary record has stayed largely clean, with a single yellow card and one suspension across his time in senior football so far.
