About the player
Damir Redžić's route to Salzburg ran through Dunajská Streda, not straight from Budapest. Born in Pécs to a Bosnian father and Hungarian mother, he came through Ferencváros but never established himself there, restricted to four league appearances across three seasons. At Soroksár he found scoring form immediately, netting eight goals in 25 league matches in his first loan season and adding two more the following year.
That form earned him a move to RB Salzburg in February 2026.
He made his senior debut for Hungary in a 2026 World Cup qualifier against the Republic of Ireland, a match Hungary lost 3–2.
