About the player
Danilo Cunha's route to Goiás began far from the club's academy setup, at Clube Canaã, where he was still playing municipal football in América Dourada as a teenager. A move to Goiás followed in 2023, when he was 15, and he worked through the club's youth categories from Sub-13 up to Sub-20 before a first-team involvement arrived in 2025.
That season brought his senior debut appearances across the Campeonato Goiano, the Copa Verde and Série B, giving the left-footed defender his first taste of first-team football alongside continued outings for the Sub-20 side, where he also scored his first goal for the club. In 2026 he has continued to feature for the first team in the Campeonato Goiano.
