About the player
Elies Mahmoud came through the youth system at Vernouillet and FC Drouais before joining the academy at LB Châteauroux in 2016. After a season with the Châteauroux reserve side, he moved to Le Havre AC on a free transfer in July 2020, where he spent three years split between the reserves and the first team. He was part of the Le Havre squad that won the 2022–23 Ligue 2 title and went up to Ligue 1, though his own appearances that campaign came mostly for the second string.
Mahmoud left France in July 2023 for FC Stade Lausanne Ouchy in Switzerland.
He has not featured for a senior national team, but was called up to a France under-20 squad for the UNAF championship in 2020.
