Emiliano Sosa

Emiliano Sosa came through Nacional's youth academy, where he won the Copa Libertadores Sub-20 in 2018 before leaving Montevideo to build a senior career elsewhere. His professional debut came with Club Atlético Cerro in 2020; he stayed through two seasons there, making 53 appearances and scoring three goals, before leaving as a free agent.

A free transfer took him to Boston River in January 2023, where he made 35 league appearances and added his first Copa Libertadores minutes. From there his path turned into a run of loans: Ecuador's Orense in early 2024, then Chile's Cobresal from July of that year. He returned to Boston River in January 2025, only to be moved on almost immediately to Miramar Misiones, where he scored once in five league games.

In July 2025 Sosa went back to Cerro, the club where his senior career had started, on a free transfer. Most of his moves since leaving Nacional have been free transfers or loans. He plays in a defensive midfield role, right-footed, and has represented Uruguay only at Under-20 level, in the 2018 Copa Libertadores Sub-20 campaign.
