About the player
Filipe José Quisseque , known by the nickname Paizinho, made history in March 2026 when he stepped off the bench for NK Varaždin's senior side at 17 years, seven months and five days old, becoming the youngest non-European player ever to appear in the HNL. The Angolan forward, born in Luanda, is only the third player from his country to feature in Croatia's top flight, following Wilson Eduardo and Anderson Cruz.
Quisseque joined Varaždin in 2025 after coming through youth football in Angola, and by early 2026 he was splitting his time between the club's U19 side and the first team, picking up minutes in both the league and the Croatian Cup. Wearing the number 18 shirt, he has yet to make a significant impact in the first team.
