About the player
Francisco Franca took up football at the age of four with Clube Futebol Andorinha before joining the youth ranks of Club Sport Marítimo at nine, spending the rest of his development at the Madeira club. He signed his first professional contract there in January 2022, and the following seasons saw him shuttle between Marítimo's structure and a loan spell at Varzim SC.
His clearest run of first-team football came in the 2024/2025 season, when he made 25 appearances for Marítimo in the Segunda Liga, scoring once and setting up three further goals, while also turning out for Marítimo B in the Campeonato de Portugal. Marítimo reached the promotion playoffs that season but did not go up to the Primeira Liga.
He moved to Felgueiras 1932 on a free transfer, signing a four-year contract. A left-footed midfielder standing 186 cm tall.
