About the player
Hector Høyrup made his first-team debut for Randers FC as a substitute against FC København in the Danish Superliga. He had come through the Randers FC youth ranks without ever playing for another club, and his introduction from the bench marked the step up from that youth system to top-flight football.
Since that debut he has featured in further Superliga fixtures, including matches against Silkeborg IF, AGF and Brøndby IF. He was also included in the squad for a Danish Cup tie against ASA Aarhus, though he did not come off the bench that day.
Høyrup has also been capped at youth international level for Denmark, appearing for the under-17 side without yet opening his scoring account, and he previously featured for the under-16s, including a fixture against Saudi Arabia's under-16 team.
