Jeison Joaquín Fuentealba Vergara

Fuentealba came through the Universidad de Chile academy and signed his first professional contract in February 2022, but his senior career took shape away from the club that trained him. A loan spell at Deportes La Serena that year brought seven league appearances, before he returned to Universidad de Chile for the 2023 season. He made 21 appearances that campaign and scored his first professional goal in a 2–5 defeat to O'Higgins on 7 August 2023.

In June 2024 he moved to Universidad de Concepción on loan. He stayed for the 2025 season and was part of the side that won the Primera B de Chile title, then renewed his loan for 2026, a move confirmed on 12 January of that year. Across his time at the club he has made 43 appearances and scored 7 goals.

Fuentealba has also come through Chile's youth ranks, collecting 12 caps and 3 goals for the under-20 side between 2021 and 2023, a spell that included the 2023 South American U-20 Championship. He added two appearances for the under-23 team in 2024, and received his first senior call-up in September 2023, though a debut with the full national side has yet to follow.
