Yerco Abraham Oyanedel Hernández

Yerco Oyanedel came through the youth ranks at Universidad Católica, where he signed his first professional contract in 2019 and was part of the squad that won the Primera División in 2018 and 2019 and the Supercopa de Chile in 2019, without featuring for the senior side in the league. His development instead came through loan spells: at Rangers in 2020 he made 27 league appearances and scored, and a longer loan followed at Unión La Calera across 2021 and 2022.

A free transfer took him to Cobresal in December 2022, but he found little playing time there and terminated his contract by the middle of 2023 after five to seven appearances. He picked things up again at Deportes Copiapó, joining as a free agent that July and making 35 league appearances across the 2023 and 2024 seasons. In February 2025 he moved to Universidad de Concepción on a free transfer, and the switch paid off quickly: he was part of the squad that won the 2025 Primera B de Chile, taking the club up to the Primera División.

Oyanedel's earlier career included a run with Chile's under-17 side, for whom he made 15 appearances. He played all nine matches as Chile finished runners-up at the 2017 South American U-17 Championship, and started all three group games at the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup. A left-back by trade, he has not been capped at senior international level.
