About the player
João Pedro Moreira Resende, known as João Resende, came through Vitória Guimarães' academy before moving on to Benfica's youth setup in 2019. He made his senior debut for Benfica B in the 2021–22 season in Liga Portugal 2 and stayed with the side through the following campaign.
A permanent move to União de Leiria followed in July 2023.
His path has now led him to Farense, who signed the forward on a permanent transfer that included shared economic rights, split 50/50 with Estrela da Amadora, on a two-year contract.
