About the player
Jorge Luis Yriarte González came through the youth ranks at Deportivo Lara before making his professional debut in May 2017. He moved to Europe in 2019, taking him first to CD Vitoria on loan, the reserve side of SD Eibar, before Eibar signed him permanently in August 2020.
He spent time away from Ipurua. A loan at SD Amorebieta in 2022–23 saw him make 33 appearances, score a goal, and win the Primera Federación Group 2 title as the club won promotion to the Segunda División. He went back to Amorebieta the following season, this time in the second tier itself, and then spent 2024–25 on loan at Real Murcia, where he made 23 appearances and scored once.
Yriarte signed for Śląsk Wrocław in July 2025 on a two-year contract, and the club won promotion to the Ekstraklasa in his first season there. He had progressed through Venezuela's youth sides at U17, U20 and U21 level before earning his first senior call-up, making his debut against the United States on 18 January 2025. He marked the occasion with a header in a 3–1 defeat, but did not score in his four caps for La Vinotinto.
