About the player
Justin Eversen did not start out as a goalkeeper. At PVCV Vleuten he was a prolific striker, and only switched to the goal during the 2018/2019 season, at Under-13 level, when the position happened to need filling. In the summer of 2019 he left PVCV Vleuten for the FC Utrecht academy, joining at Under-14 level and working his way through the club's youth sides.
Eversen was named starting goalkeeper for FC Utrecht's Under-17 side in the KNVB Beker final against AZ Alkmaar's Under-17s.
His senior debut arrived on 23 January 2026, when he came on as a substitute for Jong FC Utrecht against MVV Maastricht in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie after the starting goalkeeper picked up an injury. The following June, Eversen signed his first professional contract with FC Utrecht, running until 30 June 2028 and covering his registration with the reserve side, Jong FC Utrecht.
