About the player
Kauan came through Palmeiras' academy, joining Grêmio Novorizontino in January 2020.
At 198 cm, he is built like a modern shot-stopper, and Farense have committed to him long-term, tying him down until 2027 after making the move permanent. The path was not a direct one: two loan spells in the space of a year, first away from Farense and then back to it, before the club settled the matter with an outright signing.
He has not featured for Brazil at any level so far.
