About the player
His clearest mark on that campaign came in the Belgian Cup semi-final second leg against Union SG, when he was sent on for the final three minutes of extra time and then converted his effort in the penalty shootout to help send Antwerp through.
He added a goal from open play too, a long-range strike past Simon Mignolet in a 2–1 win over Club Brugge on 4 February 2024. Across his time with the first team, Corbanie made 43 appearances and scored once, while also featuring 29 times for the club's U23 side, the Young Reds. He was capped by Belgium at U17, U18 and U19 level, scoring once for the U19s.
In February 2026, after eight years at Royal Antwerp, Corbanie signed for KV Mechelen on a free transfer, agreeing a three-year contract that took effect for the 2026–27 season. It marked a return to a club he had already represented as a boy. By August 2026 he had made his first appearance in Mechelen colours since coming back.
