About the player
Lucas Mineiro stands 188cm and plays as a holding midfielder.
He came through the academy at Villa Nova in his home state, making his first-team debut in 2015 and playing seven matches across all competitions. He became a regular in the side and won two Santa Catarina state championships, in 2016 and 2017.
What followed was five years of movement. Chapecoense loaned him to Ponte Preta in 2018 and again in 2019, then to Vasco da Gama later that year. In 2020 he went further afield, joining Cerezo Osaka in Japan, before a spell in Portugal with Gil Vicente that ran into 2021.
In June 2023 he signed permanently with Cuiabá, in a deal reported by Bola na Rede at around 500,000. In 2025, in Série B, he scored twice in 25 league appearances and added a goal in ten state championship matches.
In January 2026 Cuiabá loaned him to Juventude for the remainder of the season, where he wears the number 8. He has won no individual awards, and the two state titles from his Chapecoense years remain the only trophies on his record.
