About the player
Lukas Michelbrink came through Hertha BSC's academy, having joined the Berlin club in 2017 after starting out at FSV Berolina Stralau. He progressed through the youth ranks and made his senior debut for Hertha in 2024, while also featuring for Hertha BSC II that season.
In June 2025, Energie Cottbus took him on loan from Hertha for the 2025/26 season. Michelbrink made 30 appearances in the 3. Liga as Cottbus finished second in the table and secured promotion to the 2. Bundesliga.
Michelbrink was capped once for Germany's under-18 side in 2022, but has since represented Lithuania, winning seven caps and scoring once for the under-19 team across 2022 and 2023, before adding four appearances at under-21 level in 2025.
He remains under contract with Hertha BSC until 2029.
