About the player
Moritz Hannemann was born in Munich. He came up through the youth ranks at SC Eintracht Freising and SpVgg Unterhaching before starting his senior career at SB DJK Rosenheim and TSV 1865 Dachau.
That transfer proved decisive. Hannemann was part of the Ulm squad that won the Regionalliga Südwest and went up to the 3. Liga. His contract was not renewed. He moved on a free transfer to Würzburger Kickers, where he became one of the club's top scorers in the Regionalliga Bayern.
Cottbus signed him on a free transfer in the summer of 2025 on a contract running to 2027. He scored against Wehen Wiesbaden among his goals for the club. Hannemann has since made the step up to the 2. Bundesliga with Cottbus, starting matches against Hannover 96, Arminia Bielefeld, Greuther Fürth and Wolfsburg.
