Marco Moreno

Two clubs in two countries in two seasons, and neither move cost a transfer fee: Marco Moreno left Atlético Madrid as a free agent in June 2024, joined Farense on a free that summer, and arrived at Eibar on the same terms in July 2025.

He came out of the UD Las Palmas academy on the island where he was born, and in 2016 moved into Atlético's system without a fee. The reserve side, Atlético Madrileño, held him from 2019 to 2024 — 84 matches, three goals. In 2019/20 he also played eight games in the UEFA Youth League with the under-19s and scored once. In January 2024 he was named in Atlético's squad for the Spanish Super Cup, but did not come off the bench.

The departure was unusual in its detail: Atlético let him go for nothing while retaining 50 per cent of his economic rights. Farense took him to the Primeira Liga for 2024/25, where he played 25 league matches.

At Eibar in 2025/26 he made 30 appearances in the Segunda División and one in the Copa del Rey. In the summer of 2026 the Spanish second tier gave way to Brazil: Bahia paid around €1.9 million for him.

His international record is a single cap for Spain's under-17s in 2018. He has not played for the senior national team, and he has no trophies on his record.
