About the player
Mihailo Stevanović grew up in Liestal and joined the FC Basel academy at the age of seven before signing his first professional contract in January 2020. His time in Basel's first team amounted to a single league appearance, and in August 2022 he moved on as a free agent to FC Luzern, where he mostly featured for the U21 side, scoring 15 goals in 27 appearances, alongside one senior outing.
In June 2023, he joined FC St. Gallen on a free transfer and signed a contract running until 2029. He has since become a regular starter there, going on to make 108 appearances and score 10 goals across all competitions. With St. Gallen he won the Promotion League title in the 2022/23 season and the Swiss Cup in 2025/26.
Stevanović holds Swiss citizenship but has chosen to represent Serbia at international level, making his debut for the Serbia U21 side on 12 October 2023 against England U21 and going on to earn six caps at that level.
