Nicolás Quagliata Platero came through the youth ranks at Peñarol in his native Montevideo. At Montevideo Wanderers , he finished the 2021 season as the club's leading scorer in the Uruguayan championship with four goals. Across three seasons at Wanderers he scored seven in total.
That form earned a move abroad to PAOK in 2021, and there the pattern set in. He spent 2022 on loan at Cuiabá in Brazil, then moved on loan again, this time to Central Córdoba in Argentina for 2023 and 2024.
